Vector Software Ltd., whose registered office is at 3 Gower Street, London WC1E 6HA, United Kingdom , is the controller of the personal data which is collected through this website. Vector Software has offices and subcontractors in Ukraine, Norway, Poland, and Spain which are processors and subprocessors respectively.

The data we collect about you

‘Personal data’ means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (‘data subject’); an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person.

We may collect, use, store, and transfer different kinds of personal data about you which we have grouped together as follows:

“Identity Data” includes first name, and last name (collected via page Contact Us and on the job application page);

“Contact Data” includes email addresses and telephone numbers (collected via page Contact Us and in the job application page);

“Recruitment Process Information” includes personal notes taken for the duration of your recruitment process relating to a job application with Vector Software  which, in the event of an unsuccessful job application, will enable us to consider you for future vacancies that may become available;

“Employment-related Data” includes details of qualifications, skills, experience, employment history, and other data which may be included on GitHub, LinkedIn, personal website, and in a Curriculum Vitae (in the event that you choose to upload this through the Website when applying for a role within Vector Software);

“Technical Data” includes internet protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, time zone setting and location, operating system and platform, and other technology on the devices you use to access this Website;

“Usage Data” includes information about how you use our Website. We also collect, use, and share “Aggregated Data” such as statistical or demographic data for any purpose. Aggregated Data could be derived from your personal data but is not considered personal data in law as this data will not directly or indirectly reveal your identity. For example, we may aggregate your Usage Data to calculate the percentage of users accessing a specific website feature. How long do we process

Vector Software will process your personal data for the period, which will be considered appropriate from the business point of view, but no longer than we will have a legitimate basis for the processing. You can stop the processing and have your personal data erasure by providing us with the request (see the section “Contact us?”).

Where will be your personal
data processed?

Your personal data will be processed by our Ukrainian subcontractors. We can also make personal data available to our offices and subcontractor in the United Kingdom, Norway, or other jurisdictions. In all cases, we are taking steps to ensure that the data should be processed according to the highest data protection standards (see Section “Will we transfer your data to the third parties”)

Will we transfer your data
to third parties?

We may transfer your data to our technology vendors and suppliers as well as subcontractors who are providing services to Vector Software on a contract basis as well as are performing functions on our behalf. In all cases we are paying all the possible efforts to ensure that the data protection of these parties is at the proper level, i.a. according to the standards established by the GDPR.

What are the rights of persons, whose data is processed on our website?

As a visitor of the website, whose data is being processed, your rights are: the right to be informed; the right of access; the right to rectification; the right to erasure; the right to restrict processing; the right to data portability; the right to object to processing; the rights in relation to automated decision making and profiling.

What we are responsible for?

Vector Software bears the responsibility for compliance with the confidentiality and privacy standards and general compliance of processing personal data through this website with this Online Privacy Policy. We can be recognized as responsible according to the acting legislation.

Are we responsible for third-party websites’ data protection?

This website consists of links to other websites. This Privacy Policy only applies to this website so when you link to other websites you should read their privacy policies. Vector Software is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such websites.

How do we ensure data security?

We try to use proper technical security measures to protect your personal data which is transmitted, stored, or otherwise processed by us, from accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, unauthorized disclosure of, or access. Such measures include:

  • we ensure the security of our office data infrastructure by implementing data protection frameworks.
  • we use anonymization and pseudo-anonymization techniques to de-identify data
  • we’ve updated company policies so that we’re capable of handling subject requests within the time frames introduced by the GDPR
  • we’ve assumed the Privacy By Design stance; our data processing activities, including re-engineering, are fully compliant with the GDPR
  • we’ve set up new breach notification procedures and adopted the tools necessary to investigate data compromises within a 72-hour notification period.
